“In Spite of It All” is the new single from Unquiet Nights to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut album “21st Century Redemption Songs”. It’s due for release on Monday 24th Jan 2022, along with a collection called “First Ten (2012-2022)” which includes the defining singles spanning the first decade of the band’s career so far.
A good decade it was for the trio, who for most of this time based themselves between Belfast and Italy. Their debut album helped break the band on most of the key national radio stations in the UK & Ireland with singles such as “Shoulda Said Something“, “Someone’s Love on Drugs” and “Burning The Tracks“. Second album “Postcards in Real Time“ (2015) followed up on this momentum allowing the band to reach 9 countries on tour, with singles such as “Love Leave Your Mark on Me“ and “Constellations of She“ gaining the band significant exposure. All this being said, it is the non-single “George Best City” from this album for which arguably the band is best known. It landed them several live national TV appearances including in Italy on Sky Sport 1’s Calciomercato program following their usage in the Federico Buffa Racconta documentary series.
After the second album came a trio of standalone singles beginning with “Promise of You“, followed by “Young Believers” and “Four Winds“. These songs have helped the band climb past 2 million streams on services such as Spotify & iTunes as their first decade as a band comes to an end. Be certain though, that the trio of Luke Mathers, Rodger Firmin & Francesco Piciucchi have much planned for the next decade to come…
