SKY ITALIA – Buffa Racconta: George Best

SKY ITALIA – Buffa Racconta: George Best

The documentary on the life of George Best by Sky Italia called “Federico Buffa Racconta Storie di Campioni” includes our song “GEORGE BEST CITY” over the final scene.  Forza Andiamo!

It’s repeated about 40 times during February on various SKY channels.  Full listing below…

MUSIC VIDEO: “George Best City”

Here’s the music video for GEORGE BEST CITY, which will be on our second album and is the B-side to “Constellations of She”. “George Best City” got it’s first play on BBC Northern Ireland The Late Show w/ Cherrie McIllwaine on 21st January, then we were delighted to see that the official George Best facebook page shared it on January 26th.

SKY SPORTS 1 Italia – Storie di Campioni: George Best.

Last night there was a documentary on SKY SPORTS 1 Italia about George Best by the journalist Federico Buffa called Storie di Campioni George Best.  You’ll find the Unquiet Nights song “George Best City” (released last week) as the music over the last scene.

I…. didn’t expect this to happen, but no doubt I have the official George Best page to thank for sharing the song last week.  I’m guessing a lot of people probably saw this…?

Steve Ferrone on 2 Songs

Big news! We’ve been able to get Steve Ferrone to play on two songs from our forthcoming second album “Postcards in Real Time”, which is due out at the end of 2015. Steve obviously has a gazillion credits, but a huge one to me is about 22 years in Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Special thanks to Steve, and to our friend Eric for making this happen.

O’Neill Surfboards

It’s great to see that O’Neill Surfboards are using “Shoulda Said Something” for their Coldwater Classic 2012 Day 5 Best Action video, and “We Were The Ones” for their Coldwater Classic 2012 Jim Phillips video.

BBC 6 Music Introducing w/ Tom Robinson (“Someone’s Love on Drugs”)

Special thanks to Tom Robinson & his BBC 6 Music Introducing team. Tom has included “Someone’s Love on Drugs” from our first album “21st Century Redemption Songs” on his BBC 6 Music Introducing Mixtape for 8th October 2012.

Hot Press – “21st Century…”

“…Those generous souls Unquiet Nights have decided to treat you all by making four tracks from their ace album “21st Century Redemption Songs” free to download via unquietnights.com. So, if you haven’t had a chance to check out this promising rock ‘n’ roll band, now’s your chance. The trio, who are based in N.I. and Italy, have been receiving a bit of airplay from RTE 2fm, and if you’re a fan of The Charlatans, Tom Petty and rock songs with classic choruses then you should have a listen…”

Jun 2012 | RTÉ 2fm, Louder Than War & Beatwolf

What an Italian-Irish month June has been.  I say so because as I was watching Rep. Ireland v. Italy in Euro 2012 last week here in my adopted country, and listening to the intense screaming as they beat us this time, it was only a couple of days later that I heard the altogether more glorious sound of RTÉ playing Unquiet Nights for the first time. … Continue reading

May 2012 | Transmission & Jefferson Was Right (video)

So we started May by doing some drum tracks for new material that’ll feature on the next release, which is still some time away obviously, but we’ll keep you up to date on the process.  This was back home in Northern Ireland and in a more isolated house than where we recorded most of the first album, so we were able to thump around long into the night … Continue reading

Ciclismo Passione (feat. “Burning The Tracks”)

The cycling film Ciclismo Passione by Davide Petucco features “Burning The Tracks” from our first album “21st Century Redemption Songs” in it’s sound track. Grazie amici.

Apr 2012 | BBC Radio 1, Radio Ulster, Klangstation, Melomania

Thrilled to report that BBC Radio 1 is now on the list of stations to have supported the first album, making that 3 national UK stations on board, with Absolute Radio & Amazing Radio playing us already.  It was always part of the plan to do well on radio, so it feels great to be picking up some of the important stations so early … Continue reading

Allisports – Louie Vito My Five (feat. Unquiet Nights)

Here’s a video from Allisports called My Five: Louie Vito where they ask Louie 5 questions unsurprisingly, and the video also features “We Were The Ones” from our first album “21st Century Redemption Songs”.

Surfline TV – Leif Engstrom’s 540 (feat. “Shoulda Said Something”)

Really happy to see “Shoulda Said Something” being used to sound track Leif Engstrom’s 540 for Surfline TV. Hoping to hear it used more. It’s the first mix of the song, and we’re working on a different version for the first album, but great for this version to get some exposure. It’s been viewed over 50,000 times on their website already.
